Atmospheric Paintings

In my paintings, there are two kinds, the atmospheric paintings and the grid paintings, these two kinds of paintings are meant to complement each other.

The atmospheric paintings are meant to be seen as what is on the surface, in this case clouds or vapor atmospheres. These are forms that are constantly changing, like oceans or volcanic lava flow. In the atmosphere ones I built up a certain kind of pigment that allows the color to shift and change as the viewer walks around them or the light of the day cast upon them changes. This shift can be going from dark to light, or vice versa, or it could be a perceptible change in color. The clouds being white remain the same and act as anchors to the paintings.
